(AP: Mahesh Kumar A.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">CA&#8217;s initial plans are for a 49 per cent sale of each club, with the states to take the majority of the equity, while some money is secured away by head office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Any changes would then come into effect for the 2027-28 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">WA Cricket chief executive John Stephenson claimed last month the Perth Scorchers were the &#8220;most successful franchise in world cricket&#8221; and &#8220;reserving their sacred assets&#8221; was a priority.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Cricket NSW boss Lee Germon called for the sport to consider alternative revenue streams, with gambling money through higher wagering fees one option.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/listen\/programs\/abc-cricket-podcast\" data-component=\"FullBleedLink\" class=\"RelatedCard_link__rsgR9 FullBleedLink_root__lTw_U interactive_focusContext__yRhc_ interactive_defaults__AKxUU FullBleedLink_showVisited__g3Xvz\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Can&#8217;t get enough cricket from Grandstand?<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP RelatedCard_synopsis__cFwMW Typography_sizeMobile14__u7TGe Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Tune in for the latest cricket news, interviews and analysis from the ABC team in the Grandstand Cricket Podcast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;We&#8217;re at the point where we believe that there need to be alternative proposals considered,&#8221; Germon said last month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;We may well end up at the first proposal, which is selling all the clubs, but we need to do the due diligence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;We want to invest in BBL. We want to lift it.
