\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Dan Stevens<\/a> (Zero Day, Downton Abbey) is the second new star joining the cast of Showtime<\/a>\u2018s Dexter: Resurrection<\/a>\u2018s second season as a series regular. <\/p>\n

\n\tHe follows the announcement of Brian Cox\u2019s casting as the mysterious Season 1 enigma, the elusive Don Framt, The New York Ripper, and the return of Uma Thurman as Charley, the former Special Ops officer\u00a0who worked for Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage) and fled the city in the Season 1 finale.<\/p>\n

\n\tStevens will play Owen Stark, the Five Borough Killer, and the second big bad of Season 2. Owen is a serial killer who, much like Zodiac, taunts the police with phone calls threatening the murder of innocent citizens. When he follows through with the awful deeds\u2026the\u00a0City\u00a0and the Police are terrorized.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFrom showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, Season 1 of\u00a0Dexter: Resurrection\u00a0takes place weeks after Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, as he awakens from a coma to find Harrison (Jack Alcott) gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut closure won\u2019t come easily. When Miami Metro\u2019s Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined \u2014 and that the only way out is together.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeason 1 also starred Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Su\u00e1rez as Elsa Rivera, with James Remar as Dexter\u2019s father, Harry Morgan. Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, and David Dastmalchian guest-starred as Lowell, Mia, Al, and Gareth, respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Phillips,\u00a0Dexter: Resurrection\u00a0is executive produced by Hall, Scott\u00a0Reynolds,\u00a0Marcos Siega,\u00a0Tony Hernandez,\u00a0and\u00a0Lilly Burns.\u00a0Additional executive producers include John Goldwyn and Sara Colleton, along with Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson.\u00a0Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios produce the series.<\/p>\n

\n\tStevens most recently starred in\u00a0Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, as well as\u00a0the indie\u00a0film\u00a0Cuckoo.
