Eels<\/a> centre Will Penisini has had a successful night at the NRL judiciary after he was found not guilty of a grade one careless high tackle.<\/p>\n

Penisini was hit with a $1800 fine from the Eels clash with the Titans<\/a> but made the rare move to appeal that decision.<\/p>\n

If found guilty at the judiciary, he risked a $2500 fine.<\/p>\n

The incident came in the 12th minute of Parramatta’s shocking loss against the Gold Coast<\/a> when Penisini was judged to have hit Beau Fermor high.<\/p>\n

Fermor was tackled low by Mitch Moses with Penisini going high before he was penalised for high contact.<\/p>\n

The centre was not impressed with the decision and there was limited reaction on commentary.<\/p>\n

Penisini was the only charge to come from that match despite Jayden Campbell being placed on report for dangerous contact<\/a>. Campbell’s tackle wasn’t deemed dangerous enough for a fine by the match review committee.<\/p>\n

There were nine players charged by the match review committee for a careless high tackle over round six.<\/p>\n
