He wasn\u2019t saying it from a wrong point of view\u2014it\u2019s our society and our thinking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shakti admitted that the romantic angle between them was largely created for the show, and it felt unusual at the time.\u201cBefore the show, we were very normal friends\u2014we would fight like brother and sister. Then suddenly, they started creating a romantic angle. It was scripted that he would tease me. It was a very weird transition for us,\u201d she said.She also recalled how people would joke about her becoming \u201cMrs Juyal,\u201d to which Raghav had a typically witty response. \u201cHe would say, \u2018Why can\u2019t I become Mr Mohan?\u2019 I thought\u2014this thought can only come from Raghav. I love the way he thinks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018I wasn\u2019t comfortable with that kiss moment\u2019<\/p>\n

The dancer also spoke about a particular on-stage moment that left her uncomfortable.\u201cThere was even a kiss moment created. Honestly, I didn\u2019t know about it. I was told something like\u2014if this happens, Raghav will kiss you. I was like, why? Why is this happening?\u201d she said.She added that even Remo D’Souza<\/a> encouraged it on stage. \u201cI\u2019m a very obedient person and at that time I didn\u2019t stand my ground. My parents were watching. But I still did it\u2014and you can see how uncomfortable I was.\u201d <\/p>\n

Despite the narrative built around them, Shakti maintained that their bond remained unchanged.\u201cI knew his girlfriend, he knew everything about my life. It was a very clean bond. We never saw it like that. It was just for entertainment,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u2018My father was upset\u2019<\/p>\n

Shakti also revealed that her family, especially her father, was not happy with the way the relationship was portrayed.\u201cMy father was upset. He even came to the show and questioned the makers\u2014why are you showing this? I told him there\u2019s nothing like that, I can even tie him a rakhi,\u201d she shared.Even today, she said, people continue to believe there was something more. \u201cRelatives still ask my mother, \u2018When are they getting married?\u2019 We never thought it would go this far.\u201d <\/p>\n

Looking back, Shakti said she doesn\u2019t hold any resentment. \u201cI don\u2019t think it was wrong. Makers will do whatever to make it entertaining. It doesn\u2019t have to be taken personally. Neither he nor I saw it that way.
