Ceci Lee Sze-wing said she had no specific target for this week\u2019s UCI Track World Cup event in Hong Kong after an intensive race schedule last month.<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old, who won two golds, one silver and two bronzes at the Asian Track Championships in the Philippines last month, said she would approach the home event with a relaxed mindset as she builds towards the Asian Games in September.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter the Asian Championships, I have not had any special preparation,\u201d Lee said. \u201cMy form is quite good, so I will compete with a normal mindset and prepare step by step for the Asian Games.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lee, who claimed two bronze medals at the previous World Cup leg in Perth, said the Australian event had lacked some of the best riders, and she viewed her home leg as a crucial benchmark.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe rhythm of the Asian competitions is different from the World Cup. Of course, I want to challenge the world\u2019s best, so I need to balance both,\u201d Lee said. \u201cIn Perth, not many strong riders were present. I want to use the opportunity in Hong Kong to re-evaluate the gap between myself and the international level.\u201d<\/p>\n
With the World Cup returning to the city after a two-year absence, Lee expressed excitement about facing elite competition on home ground.
