Victorian detectives are investigating allegations by Australian actress Ruby Rose that she was sexually assaulted by US pop star Katy Perry in 2010.<\/p>\n
In a now-deleted post on social media, Rose said the alleged assault took place at a nightclub in Melbourne’s CBD.<\/p>\n
The 40-year-old posted an update on Tuesday night, stating she had been requested by police to not discuss the case further.<\/p>\n
“As of this afternoon, I have finalized all of my reports. This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved,” she said.<\/p>\n

In response to queries about the allegations, a Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed detectives were investigating reports of “a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010”.<\/p>\n
“Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s CBD,” the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
Perry has strongly denied the claims via a statement circulated to media outlets.<\/p>\n
“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies,” a spokesperson for Perry said.<\/p>\n
“Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”\u2060<\/p>\n
