MELBOURNE will unleash its 2025 No.11 selection this weekend, with Xavier Taylor set to make his AFL debut on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The exciting news was announced on Wednesday afternoon when senior coach Steven King told Taylor in a special one-on-one moment following training.<\/p>\n
Taylor, a versatile defender, first arrived at the club during last year\u2019s National Draft and has been building his game through pre-season and VFL to get ready for senior level football.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Standing at 191cm, his height, speed and ability at the contest have allowed him to match-up against a various class of forwards.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He’ll join the rest of the side in taking on Brisbane in Sunday\u2019s annual Jim\u2019s Game, a match that celebrates all things Irish in honour of the late Jim Stynes.
