Rumors that Alex Cooper, the 31-year-old host of the Call Her Daddy podcast, and Alix Earle, the 25-year-old internet star, are feuding have been circulating for over a year \u2014 but there\u2019s been a new development in their alleged internet beef, which some have criticized as being nothing more than a PR stunt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a TikTok video posted on Monday, Cooper seemed to call Earle out for unnecessarily stirring the pot. The famed podcaster revealed that she\u2019d been flooded with direct messages, comments and tags begging that she weigh in on their internet-fueled drama with Earle, so she finally decided to make a statement<\/a>. Cooper alleged that Earle was pushing a \u201cfake narrative\u201d and urged her to speak out. Earle responded, \u201cOkay on it!!\u201d in a comment on Cooper\u2019s video, and reposted it to her own TikTok profile.<\/p>\n

How, exactly, did we get to this point? Well, Cooper and Earle\u2019s history dates back to 2023. From briefly being business partners to allegations of starting \u201cfake drama,\u201d Yahoo is breaking down their beef so far \u2014 and what might have fueled it.<\/p>\n

Earle signs with Cooper\u2019s Unwell Network and launches \u2018Hot Mess\u2019 podcast\"Alix<\/p>\n

Earle was signed to Cooper\u2019s Unwell Network<\/a>, a Gen Z-focused media company that curates unfiltered conversations with creators, in August 2023. Earle launched and hosted her own podcast, Hot Mess With Alix Earle, a month later, in September 2023, where she\u2019d talk candidly about her life and relationships in a voicey, \u201cget ready with me\u201d-style vlog.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel honored to be at a place in my career where I can pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish,\u201d Cooper said in a statement back then.<\/p>\n

Unwell drops Earle and her podcast<\/p>\n

Trouble seemed to be brewing in early 2025 when Earle didn\u2019t attend Unwell\u2019s Super Bowl party<\/a> in New Orleans, despite reportedly being in the city with her boyfriend, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios. Then the news officially broke: Earle was dropped from the Unwell Network<\/a> in February 2025, prompting the podcast to go on an indefinite hiatus.<\/p>\n

With regards to her work, Earle said she had \u201cno idea what\u2019s going on<\/a>\u201d in a TikTok video posted days after Hot Mess was axed. She shared another update in March 2025<\/a>, announcing that she\u2019d \u201chave to put a pause on podcasting right now for the foreseeable future.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t really want to get into the details of it all, and I kind of can\u2019t get into the details of it all right now, but I\u2019ve loved it so, so much, and I\u2019m really proud of what I built with the podcast,\u201d Earle said.<\/p>\n

Cooper said she had nothing to do with Earle\u2019s inability to continue podcasting. She addressed Earle\u2019s exit from Unwell Network, writing in a TikTok video also posted in March 2025<\/a>, \u201cAlix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. Idk why she can\u2019t\/whats going on. Unwell gave her everything back she owns her IP.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earle is ready to spill the tea \u2014 and Cooper claps back<\/p>\n

In a Wall Street Journal<\/a> feature published in May 2025, Earle offered brief insight into what went down between her and Cooper. Choosing her words carefully, Earle told the outlet, \u201cThat was, behind the scenes, a little bit of a hot mess.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earle seemed ready to spill the tea by August 2025. In a TikTok video<\/a> referring to her horoscope, she said, \u201cMy Co-Star told me that I can start shit today. I mean, is this my time that I\u2019ve been waiting for to go? I have so much information. We could go. I think I\u2019m losing my mind … but I wake up every day, and I\u2019m like, \u2018What should I do, Co-Star?\u2019 And today, it\u2019s like, \u2018Revenge. Let\u2019s go get \u2019em.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Seems vague enough, right? Well, not quite. One TikToker commented on Earle\u2019s video, \u201cYes tell us what happened with alex cooper thank you,\u201d to which Earle replied, \u201chow much time do you have.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cooper wasn\u2019t silent for long. The Call Her Daddy host appeared to mock Earle\u2019s Dancing With the Stars performance<\/a> in an Instagram post<\/a> in October 2025, promoting an Unwell event in Las Vegas. She used Britney Spears\u2019s \u201cCircus\u201d \u2014 the same song Earle, a contestant at that time, had danced to. Cooper\u2019s Instagram caption also seemed to refer to Earle\u2019s response to a TikToker, writing, \u201cHow much time do you have? Cause we could go all night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earle cosigns critique that Cooper is \u2018a grim reaper,\u2019 and Cooper finally speaks out<\/p>\n

Despite cooling off in recent months, Cooper and Earle\u2019s feud seems far from over. Earle appeared to repost a TikTok video<\/a> from @thebravomom, a creator who likened Cooper to the grim reaper.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s so awful,\u201d the creator said of Cooper in a video posted last week. \u201cShe is profiting off of women\u2019s heartaches and failures, and all these awful things that happen to women. She\u2019s profiting off of it. That\u2019s not girl power.\u201d<\/p>\n

After learning of Earle\u2019s repost, Cooper finally addressed the drama in a TikTok video posted on Monday. With Earle\u2019s TikTok handle as the caption, Cooper urged the Dancing With the Stars alum to come forward and speak the truth. Cooper said that while she doesn\u2019t \u201cusually address this kind of stuff\u201d because it\u2019s a \u201cwaste of time\u201d and \u201chonestly embarrassing to participate in this,\u201d it ultimately felt long overdue.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlix Earle, hey girl. The passive-aggressive reposts and the likes and the commenting on things, I gotta call you out here. You\u2019re gonna need to get specific and just say what you gotta say about me,\u201d Cooper said. \u201cThere\u2019s no [nondisclosure agreement]. No one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself. What\u2019s the beef? \u2018Cause I\u2019m really tired of waking up and seeing you using this fake drama to distract from other shit going online for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cooper added, \u201cI know what happened and so do you. So talk, unless the fake narrative you\u2019re creating happens to be way more interesting than the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to reposting Cooper\u2019s video to her TikTok profile, Earle also left a comment, which read, \u201cOkay on it!!\u201d<\/p>\n
