The matchup was announced earlier this year, with an initial press conference in March featuring both women and the co-main event between Francis Ngannou and Philipe Lins.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Since then, the MVP MMA card added another massive bout, with \u201cBMF\u201d originator Nate Diaz taking on the face of BKFC, Mike Perry, and a press conference on Wednesday, Diaz and Perry came face-to-face for the first time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">While both Diaz and Perry are known for their pre-fight antics, neither brought that sort of energy to the press conference, with both men speaking respectfully of each other and sharing a courteous face-off when they came eye-to-eye for the first time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Rousey and Carano were, of course, also in attendance for the press conference on Wednesday, continuing their build of the fight in which neither has a bad thing to say about the other, and they, too, shared a respectful face-off again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Rousey vs. Carano takes place on May 16 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Nate Diaz and Mike Perry have finally come face-to-face.
