{"id":609665,"date":"2026-04-16T01:32:17","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T01:32:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/609665\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T01:32:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T01:32:17","slug":"indycar-news-scott-mclaughlins-usa-themed-indy-500-livery-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/609665\/","title":{"rendered":"IndyCar news: Scott McLaughlin&#8217;s USA-themed Indy 500 livery revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/HF9BEh9bcAA_GiV-copy.jpg\" alt=\"Scott McLaughlin\u2019s USA-themed Indy 500 livery revealed\"\/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tScott McLaughlin&#8217;s livery for the 110th Indianapolis 500<\/p>\n<p>McLaughlin will once again drive the Pennzoil-backed #3 Chevrolet, which this year features a US theme.<\/p>\n<p>The car has blue and red stripes throughout with the United States flag atop the sidepods.<\/p>\n<p>McLaughlin is a dual citizen of New Zealand and the United States having moved there in 2020 and married his wife Karly.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, McLaughlin failed to start the Indianapolis 500 after he crashed during the warm-up laps entering the first turn.<\/p>\n<p>That was the lowlight in a tough season, in which he finished 10th.<\/p>\n<p>Four rounds into 2026 and McLaughlin sits seventh in the standings with a second place finish to his name in the season opener.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/4cq9M8W\" style=\"color:#f06d25;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Click here <\/a>to see what it takes to build the Gold Coast street circuit <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re showing glimpses of speed and that\u2019s a good feeling for the whole team,\u201d McLaughlin said, speaking on Fox Sports\u2019 Motor Racing 360.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a little bit of a struggle the last 18 months.
