\n\tAriana Grande<\/a> has conquered global arenas, the Oscars stage and, now, another CinemaCon.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe triple-threat star lit up the annual Las Vegas convention of movie theater owners in a first trailer for \u201cFocker In-Law<\/a>,\u201d a big-screen outing that lets Grande flex her impressive comedy muscles alongside Ben Stiller<\/a> and Robert De Niro.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal Pictures unveiled the first look for exhibitors, which sees Grande play love interest to Stiller\u2019s son (Skyler Gisondo). The franchise\u2019s original film, \u201cMeet the Parents,\u201d centered on Greg Focker (Stiller) enduring many awkward encounters while trying to impress his girlfriend\u2019s father (Robert De Niro) before proposing. It became a blockbuster hit,\u00a0grossing<\/a> $330 million\u00a0worldwide, and inspired two sequels before this latest.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI guess you could say I\u2019m the new De Niro of the franchise,\u201d a solo Stiller explained on stage at The Colosseum at Caesar\u2019s Palace. From the wings came De Niro, inspiring cheers from the exhibitors. Both men discussed what an honor it was to welcome Grande to the fold, as De Niro called her \u201cprobably the single funniest scene partner I\u2019ve ever been lucky enough to share the screen with\u201d \u2014 while Stiller stared uncomfortably out to the crowd. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn her 2026 Actors on Actors conversation with Adam Sandler, Grande described her character as Stiller\u2019s \u201cson\u2019s girlfriend, who he\u2019s not sure of or connecting with. He\u2019s very against me. And the worst part \u2014 his character\u2019s nightmare is \u2014 I get along gorgeously with Robert De Niro\u2019s character, Jack. He loves me, and I get immediate approval from the rest of the family.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe trailer proved this and then some. Grande\u2019s Olivia Jones is indeed the loving girlfriend of Gisondo\u2019s Henry. A natural overachiever, Olivia tells the family (including Stiller\u2019s onscreen wife Teri Polo) that she trained as an FBI hostage negotiator \u2014 and is intent on using her skills to free her boyfriend from a codependent relationship with Stiller. Worse for old Greg Focker, the entire family is obsessed with Henry\u2019s new girlfriend.<\/p>\n
