{"id":611077,"date":"2026-04-16T16:43:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T16:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/611077\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T16:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T16:43:08","slug":"nicolo-bulega-my-dream-is-motogp-were-talking-amid-2027-rumours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/611077\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicolo Bulega: \u201cMy dream is MotoGP, we\u2019re talking\u201d amid 2027 rumours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WorldSBK title leader Nicolo Bulega has confirmed he is in talks with several teams in pursuit of his MotoGP \u201cdream\u201d for 2027.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Italian added that nothing is likely to be decided until the \u201cbig names\u201d have been officially confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing title runner-up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\/racer\/995265\/toprak-razgatlioglu\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Toprak Razgatlioglu <\/a>last season, Bulega beat the Turkish star to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MotoGP<\/a> debut by standing in for Ducati\u2019s injured champion<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1654\/marc-marquez\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Marc Marquez<\/a> in the final two rounds.<\/p>\n<p>Bulega scored a point on each occasion, then bolstered his hopes of a full-time seat in the 2027 Pirelli era by securing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/teams\/ducati-lenovo-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ducati<\/a> MotoGP test role alongside this year\u2019s WorldSBK campaign.<\/p>\n<p>But the rumour mill suggests next year\u2019s Desmosedici seats are already filling up fast, putting the 26-year-old in danger of missing out.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>However, another MotoGP opportunity appears to have emerged in the form of a potential <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/teams\/trackhouse-motogp-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trackhouse Aprilia <\/a>seat, after Ai Ogura\u2019s reported switch to Yamaha.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly at the moment [I can\u2019t tell you] anything more, because we are just waiting to see [what happens with] the big names in MotoGP,\u201d Bulega told the official WorldSBK website ahead of this weekend\u2019s Assen round.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut my dream is always, since when I was a kid, to go to MotoGP, like every rider.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bulega spent six-years in the Moto3 and Moto2 classes before relaunching his career with a switch to WSS in 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Italian won the title for Ducati the following year, then stepped up to WorldSBK with the official team, where he took the fight to Razgatlioglu in 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the moment I&#8217;m very, very happy here in World Superbike, but the dream is still the dream,&#8221;
