Box Score<\/a> <\/p>\n HOUSTON, Tx., April 16, 2026\u00a0-The University of South Florida women’s tennis team opened its American\u00a0Conference Championship run with a 4-2 victory over No. 5 seed Florida Atlantic on Wednesday afternoon at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.<\/p>\n The Bulls came out strong in doubles play, securing the opening point after wins on courts two and three. Amelie Drukerova<\/a> and Josefine Falster<\/a> earned a 7-6 victory at the No. 2 position before Francesca Miglio<\/a> and Melisa Senli<\/a> clinched the doubles point with a 7-6 win on court three.<\/p>\n In singles, USF extended its lead early as Drukerova was first off the court with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles, pushing the Bulls ahead 2-0. FAU answered with a point on court three, but Falster responded with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at the No. 4 spot to restore the two-point advantage.<\/p>\n The Owls picked up another point on court one to make it 3-2, setting the stage for Sienna Leeson<\/a> at the No. 2 position. Leeson delivered the match-clinching point for the Bulls, battling through a first-set tiebreak before taking the second set for a 7-6, 6-2 victory and sealing the 4-2 win.<\/p>\n After falling in the first round of last year’s conference tournament, the Bulls open this year’s championship with a statement win to keep their postseason run alive.<\/p>\n With the victory, USF advances to the quarterfinal round of the American Conference Championship, where they will face No. 4 Tulsa on Friday, April 17.\u00a0<\/p>\n USF enters the matchup with a 2-7 all-time record against Tulsa, with the two programs last meeting in 2022 when the Bulls fell 4-0.<\/p>\n First serve is set for 10 a.m. Central as USF looks to build on its opening-round momentum and continue its run through the conference tournament.<\/p>\n About Women’s Tennis
