\n\tLast year, <\/a>Marvel Studios announced that \u201cAvengers: Endgame<\/a>\u201d would get a theatrical re-release ahead of the next superhero team-up movie, December\u2019s \u201cAvengers: Doomsday<\/a>.\u201d Turns out, there\u2019s more to the \u201cEndgame\u201d than previously advertised. <\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the Walt Disney Studios presentation at CinemaCon on Thursday, directors Joe and Anthony Russo announced that the Sept. 25 release will include brand-new footage from the already 3-hour-long movie. Plus, both \u201cEndgame\u201d and \u201cDoomsday,\u201d in theaters Dec. 18, will also be presented in \u201cInfinity Vision,\u201d a new certification for premium large format theaters, which is touted as delivering \u201cthe biggest, brightest and most immersive cinematic experiences\u201d for moviegoers.<\/p>\n

\n\tIs that label intentionally meant to evoke Marvel\u2019s Infinity Stones and the synthezoid superhero Vision? Who\u2019s to say? <\/p>\n

\n\tBut it is a stamp of approval affirming that, with more than 75 domestic and 300 global exhibitor premium large format screening currently available to consumers, these auditoriums meet certain technical standards, including \u201cthe largest screens for maximum scale, laser projection for superior brightness and clarity and premium audio formats for fully immersive sound.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDisney\u2019s standards for production quality are second to none, with every single detail of a film finely tuned for an immersive experience,\u201d said Andrew Cripps, head of theatrical distribution for The Walt Disney Studios. \u201cInfinity Vision certification extends that commitment to the theaters themselves, representing a shared effort between The Walt Disney Studios and the exhibition community to help audiences quickly find the very best screens in their area to experience our films in exactly the way they\u2019re designed to be seen \u2013 on a huge screen with the sharpest, clearest color and sound.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTo note, \u201cAvengers: Doomsday\u201d opens in theaters on the same day<\/a> as Warner Bros. \u201cDune: Part III,\u201d which will run exclusively in Imax for three weeks since director Denis Villeneuve shot the film with the company\u2019s cameras.<\/p>\n
