Honor has launched 2 new phones in Australia: the mid-range X9d 5G ($699) and flagship Magic 8 Pro ($1,999).
\n The Honor X9d 5G features a massive 8,300mAh battery that can apparently last up to 3 days on a single charge.
\n The Magic 8 Pro is the camera-focused flagship, headlined by a 200MP main lens and powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
\n Both phones are available to pre-order at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and The Good Guys ahead of the official launch on 23 April.
\n If you buy either before 13 May, you’ll also receive a free smartwatch worth up to $499.<\/p>\n
If the name doesn’t ring a bell, HONOR is a Chinese smartphone brand that split from Huawei in 2020.<\/p>\n
It arrived in Australia in November 2025, when HONOR released the Magic V5 foldable and the HONOR 400 Pro.<\/p>\n
HONOR X9d 5G price, specs and availability<\/p>\n
The Honor X9d costs $699, offers 256GB storage and comes in Midnight Black, Reddish Brown and Sunrise Gold.<\/p>\n
You can pre-order it from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman or The Good Guys.<\/p>\n
When you buy it by 13 May, you’ll get a free Honor Watch 2 Pro (worth $299) via Honor’s redemption site.<\/p>\n
The phone’s headline feature is a massive 8,300mAh battery that Honor claims can last up to 3 days.<\/p>\n
The brand’s test data shows it can stand up to 52.5 hours of music streaming, 23.8 hours of online video playback, 16.8 hours of gaming and 12.3 hours of video chat on a single charge.<\/p>\n
The Honor X9d is also built with durability in mind, carrying an IP69K rating. <\/p>\n
That means it’s designed to withstand high-pressure water jets, exposure to hot water, and drops of up to 2.5 metres in controlled testing.<\/p>\n
On the camera side, the system is headlined by a 108MP main lens. <\/p>\n
The 6.79-inch OLED display reaches a peak brightness of 6,000 nits for outdoor use. And lastly, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip and comes with 12GB of RAM.<\/p>\n
Good to know: If you want something much cheaper, you can also buy the Honor X6d for $299 in Ocean Cyan or Midnight Black from Harvey Norman or JB Hi-Fi.<\/p>\n
