away kit for the 2025\/26 League One season has been inspired by the locally made red bricks and terracotta panels that adorn the Victorian building, the club said.<\/p>\n<p>It is the second Reading shirt for next season inspired by the Berkshire town&#8217;s history, with the club&#8217;s new home kit celebrating its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c20pnxjydj3o?xtor=AL-72-%5Bpartner%5D-%5Byahoo.north.america%5D-%5Blink%5D-%5Bnews%5D-%5Bbizdev%5D-%5Bisapi%5D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:industrial heritage and unique link to biscuits;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">industrial heritage and unique link to biscuits<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Both shirts are made from eco fabrics and cost \u00a358 each.<\/p>\n<p>Reading Town Hall, as it appears today, was built in 1875 and was the backdrop for celebrations when the club reached the Premier League for the first time in 2006.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"caas-img caas-lazy has-preview\" alt=\"A large group of Reading supporters stood in front of the grey and orange town hall.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/b09435c7f5a8abdafc8cf6afdd83903e.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Fans gathered outside the town hall when the club reached the Premier League for the first time [Reading FC]<\/p>\n<p>Announcing the new kit, the club said the building was &#8220;a focal point in the heart of Reading&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It said the new kit linked to &#8220;a landmark which is forged in the history of our town, our community and our club&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting on social media, one fan said the new kit &#8220;looks class&#8221;, while another said it was &#8220;quite nice&#8221;, adding: &#8220;At least nobody can say that our kits are plain and boring this season.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But other supporters took a more pessimistic view, with one comparing the kit to Chinese Terracotta Army sculptures.<\/p>\n<p>Another questioned the club&#8217;s move away from its traditional red away kit, saying the new shirt was &#8220;too orange&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the Royals have had some unique designs, including the University of Reading&#8217;s &#8220;climate stripes&#8221;
