The New York Post<\/a> reported. <\/p>\nMs Hopton-Jones \u2013 who shares parenting advice to over 63,000 followers under the Instagram handle \u201cHillside Farmhouse\u201d \u2013 said that as she was leaving, Henry darted out of the garage and \u201cin a matter of seconds\u201d was run over by her car.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was driving,\u201d the Texas-based blogger wrote. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur neighbours stepped in immediately and took Lily, and we rushed to the emergency room.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Hopton-Jones said X-rays of Henry\u2019s chest, legs, and neck have all come back normal, and a neurological exam showed no signs of a head injury.<\/p>\n
Henry, however, has fractures to his pelvis that will \u201ctake time to heal\u201d and a few abrasions, she said.<\/p>\n
Ms Hopton-Jones described the incident as \u201cthe worst day of our lives\u201d, calling it \u201ca true miracle\u201d her son wasn\u2019t more hurt.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe keep replaying it, trying to understand how this could\u2019ve happened when we were right there. I don\u2019t have that answer,\u201d she wrote, alongside pictures holding Henry\u2019s hand while he lay in the hospital bed.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so easy to start questioning everything. If the morning had looked different. If B had gone to work like he normally would have, both kids would have been safely in their car seats.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe could drive ourselves crazy with the what ifs, and honestly, we are a little bit.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut accidents happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
