A favorable draw gave Miller\u2019s team NC State in Dayton before getting an injured BYU squad in the Round of 64 and vulnerable Gonzaga program in the Round of 32. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6g\">Regardless, it showed how Texas was coming together late in the season and it nearly upset Purdue if not for a putback by Trey Kauffman-Renn in the final second. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6j\">But Miller knows what his team needed the most entering next season.
