The Bulldogs have confirmed an ACL for Sam Darcy.<\/p>\n

In a worst-case scenario for the Bulldogs and a devastating blow to the club\u2019s flag hopes, they said the 22-year-old wouldn\u2019t play again this season.<\/p>\n

On a dirty night against the Cats on Friday night that coach Luke Beveridge described as \u201cpretty traumatic\u201d, the Dogs have given an update on various player injuries.<\/p>\n

\u201cWestern Bulldogs forward Sam Darcy will miss the remainder of the 2026 season after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee,\u201d the club hassaid.<\/p>\n

\u201cDarcy underwent scans on Saturday following an incident during the second quarter of Friday night\u2019s game against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly disappointed for Sam after scans confirmed he has ruptured his ACL,\u201d Bulldogs head of sports medicine Chris Bell said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s an extremely driven individual, and we have no doubt he\u2019ll attack his rehabilitation strongly in the coming months.<\/p>\n

\u201cTom Liberatore suffered a concussion during the second quarter and will be assessed within the AFL concussion protocols.<\/p>\n

\u201cScans have confirmed a hamstring injury for James O\u2019Donnell. His return to play plan will become clearer in coming days.<\/p>\n
