Royals vs Yankees<\/a>: Yankees (-161)<\/p>\n

Yankees win probability: 59%<\/p>\n

The New York Yankees have the clear edge in both lineup and bullpen, and this is the kind of spot where they usually take care of business at home.<\/p>\n

Reds<\/a> vs Twins: Twins (-143)<\/p>\n

Twins win probability: 54%<\/p>\n

Minnesota<\/a> is the more complete team right now, with the better pitching matchup and a lineup that\u2019s been more consistent top to bottom.<\/p>\n

Mets<\/a> vs Cubs<\/a>: Cubs (-116)<\/p>\n

Cubs win probability: 51%<\/p>\n

The Cubs are simply playing better baseball (not by much), while the Mets continue to shoot themselves in the foot early in the season.<\/p>\n

Giants vs Nationals: Nationals (-103)<\/p>\n

Nationals win probability: 48%<\/p>\n

Washington has been more competitive than expected, and getting the Nationals at near even money against a shaky Giants team is worth a shot, especially given their edge on offense.<\/p>\n

Rays<\/a> vs Pirates: Pirates (-152)<\/p>\n

Pirates win probability: 61%<\/p>\n

See Paul Skenes…. bet Paul Skenes… and hope the Pirates bats show up for him.<\/p>\n

White Sox<\/a> vs Athletics: Athletics (-161)<\/p>\n

A’s win probability: 60%<\/p>\n

Neither team provides much confidence, but the White Sox away from home are worse than they are in Chicago<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tigers vs Red Sox<\/a>: Tigers (-167)<\/p>\n

Tigers win probability: 62%<\/p>\n

Detroit<\/a> has the pitching advantage here, and the Tigers have been far more reliable at preventing runs than Boston<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brewers<\/a> vs Marlins: Marlins (-111)<\/p>\n

Marlins win probability: 50%<\/p>\n

This is a coin-flip type game, but Miami<\/a>\u2019s pitching gives the home side a slight edge in what should be a low-scoring matchup.<\/p>\n

Orioles<\/a> vs Guardians: Guardians (-132)<\/p>\n

Guardians win probability: 54%<\/p>\n

Cleveland<\/a>\u2019s pitching and ability to make hay at home should be enough here, especially against a volatile Orioles staff.<\/p>\n

Cardinals<\/a> vs Astros: Astros (-139)<\/p>\n

Astros win probability: 55%<\/p>\n

Houston<\/a> is the more disciplined and explosive team at the plate and typically capitalizes in situations where St. Louis<\/a> tends to let games slip away.<\/p>\n

Rangers vs Mariners<\/a>: Mariners (-137)<\/p>\n

Mariners win probability: 54%<\/p>\n

Most of the edge in the batter’s box goes to Texas<\/a>, but the Mariners pitching is top-notch, and I like Kirby a little bit more than Eovaldi<\/a> in this spot.<\/p>\n

Braves vs Phillies<\/a>: Phillies (-127)<\/p>\n

Phillies win probability: 52%<\/p>\n

Normally, I’d take the high-powered Braves, but the pitching matchup favors the Phillies, and I expect them to tag Chris Sale<\/a> early and often.<\/p>\n

Dodgers<\/a> vs Rockies<\/a>: Dodgers (-278)<\/p>\n

Dodgers win probability: 71%<\/p>\n

The odds speak for themselves.<\/p>\n

Blue Jays vs Diamondbacks<\/a>: Blue Jays (+105)<\/p>\n

Blue Jays win probability: 46%<\/p>\n

Call this the Mad Max bounce-back game. The Diamondbacks’ offense is inconsistent, so I look for the veteran pitcher to come up big.<\/p>\n

Padres vs Angels: Angels (-116)<\/p>\n

Angels win probability: 50%<\/p>\n

The Angels have plenty of power in their lineup, and they are playing at home. German Marquez<\/a> boasts a 5.54 ERA and 1.69 WHIP. That should be all they need to pick up the win.<\/p>\n
