Image: InSyde Media<\/p>\n<p>The South Australian Motorsport Board has teamed up with Mega Rewards to put a huge cash reward on the line for the 100-kilometre opener on the Adelaide street circuit.<\/p>\n<p>It is a simple winner-takes-all equation to add spice to the first of three races that will help determine the 2025 Supercars champion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis initiative from Mega Rewards means Friday\u2019s race could deliver any possible outcome,\u201d said CEO of the SAMB Mark Warren.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy putting real money on the line, we\u2019re giving drivers a major incentive to come out swinging from the<br \/>very first race \u2013 and giving fans another reason to be in the stands from day one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur thanks go to Mega Rewards for supporting this bold new initiative for the BP Adelaide Grand Final.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The addition of the bounty follows a mixed reaction to Friday races at Sydney Motorsport Park and in Townsville so far this year.<\/p>\n<p>One source of criticism around the concept has been a clause in the current broadcast agreement that means Fox Sports has exclusive rights to any Friday on-track action outside of the Bathurst 1000, even on a free-to-air weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The same will apply to the Adelaide Grand Final.<\/p>\n<p>Supercars CEO James Warburton welcomed this proactive move to add interest to the Friday race from the Adelaide promoter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a great addition to the Friday of our epic Grand Final for the Championship,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn an already high stakes weekend, this will add extra incentive for Friday\u2019s race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have great partners with the South Australian Government and the South Australian Motor Sport Board and thank them and their partners for this great initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Under the new finals system, four drivers will head to Adelaide in contention to win the title no matter what happens in the lead-up.<\/p>\n<p>The Adelaide Grand Final takes place from November 27-30.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ppq.com.au\/create?&amp;utm_campaign=motorsport&amp;utm_medium=display&amp;utm_source=speedcafe&amp;utm_content=leaderboard\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"a2t-link\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"PPQ1102-DJR-2025\u2014Speedcafe\u2014Display\u2014Leaderboard\"><img decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1754533395_589_PPQ1102-DJR-2025-Speedcafe-Display-Leaderboard.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\"\/><\/a>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A $50,000 pay day is on offer in Adelaide.
