Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney saw one of his iconic celebrations pulled out by AngryGinge after he scored in the Sidemen Charity Match at Wembley\"Angry<\/p>\n

AngryGinge cheekily copied Wayne Rooney’s iconic boxing knockout celebration after scoring in the Sidemen Charity Match at Wembley Stadium. The I’m A Celeb winner put the YouTube Allstars in front with a bullet header<\/a> and pulled out several celebrations in the corner.<\/p>\n

The first of those was a kneeslide, and that was closely followed by a big punch towards the crowd. Ginge then turned around and did four pretend punches before falling to the floor, which was exactly what Rooney did after scoring against Tottenham<\/a> in 2015, a few days on from a video of him being knocked out by Phil Bardsley emerged.<\/p>\n

Despite being on the receiving end of that, even with it being over a decade ago, Rooney has been backed by former team-mate Louis Saha to destroy KSI in the ring, on one key condition.<\/p>\n

He told BetVictor: “Wayne Rooney<\/a> was one of the players who we were always boxing<\/a>. We had a coach who allowed us the day before the game to go on the punch bags.<\/p>\n

“He loved boxing and I think when he was younger, he was a bit of a boxer. I wouldn\u2019t be surprised to see him go into it. He is one of these people who love their sport, whether it\u2019s golf<\/a> or boxing or football.<\/p>\n

“He is committed and wants to compete and win. Rooney vs KSI? I would love to see that. He\u2019d have to get into shape but we know he can be a terrific athlete.<\/p>\n

“He could go on a night out and then be the best player in training the next day. He’s an unbelievable athlete and if he got his fitness back, I\u2019d back him to destroy these guys like KSI.<\/p>\n

“A bit like Roy Keane<\/a>, these guys have an enormous legacy. He’s England\u2019s best ever player and there is a huge expectation when he gets a new management job.<\/p>\n

“These sorts of players can often be more comfortable in punditry, but I think he will still have a desire to make things a success as a manager, I think he just needs to improve his communication skills and learn from other great coaches.<\/p>\n

Wayne Rooney has been backed to beat KSI in a boxing match if he gets back in shape<\/p>\n

“Being away from the game can be the best place to learn, hopefully that happens with Wayne.”<\/p>\n

KSI has not fought since losing to Tommy Fury<\/a> in October 23 with the entertainer focusing on other ventures, which now includes his minority stake stake in Dagenham & Redbridge.<\/a><\/p>\n

Rooney, meanwhile, has taken to punditry over the last 18 months after failed managerial spells at Birmingham City and Plymouth Argyle.<\/p>\n

Rooney has mostly worked on Amazon Prime Video and for the BBC<\/a> on Match of the Day. The Manchester United<\/a> icon also has a podcast on the latter platform.<\/p>\n
