As prophesied by yours truly<\/a>, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has given his immediate reaction to the news of Conor Benn signing an extended deal with with Zuffa Boxing, and needless to say, he\u2019s not too happy about it with his true feelings leaking through a thin facade.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, some people aren\u2019t as smart as they think,\u201d Hearn said of Benn\u2019s new deal. \u201cI can\u2019t really comment on it too much at the moment, it\u2019s an ongoing issue\u2026The lack of honesty all around has been beaming throughout, so, you know, it\u2019s just funny how people want to dress it up and the lengths that they\u2019ll go to to dress it up. But we shall get to the bottom of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hearn was then asked about Benn\u2019s comments about wanting to see him in the post-fight of his most recent match and whether their relationship is now irreparably damaged.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes. Without doubt. Listen, I wish him all the best but when you think someone was someone and they show you they\u2019re really not, it makes you question everything they\u2019ve told you throughout the whole time,\u201d He said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m learning more as I go along now, things are coming back to me [in my mind], but I shall say no more.\u201d<\/p>\n
