Bulldogs<\/a> winger Jacob Kiraz could be set to spend time on the sideline after he injured his knee against the Eels<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kiraz’s injury came during the first half when he was held up by two tacklers before Saxon Pryke came in low at the knees.<\/p>\n

Kiraz had his knee heavily strapped and limped around but decided to stay on the field.<\/p>\n

The winger came out for the second half but eventually had to leave the field. Nine’s Emma Lawrence confirmed it was a suspected MCL injury.<\/p>\n

Kiraz wasn’t the only player in pain during a bruising Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Parramatta hooker Ryley Smith didn’t return from the half-time sheds after he injured his sternum.<\/p>\n

That injury adds to a horror injury toll for the Eels with nine players currently in the casualty ward. Matt Doorey, J’maine Hopgood and Bailey Simonsson are all out for the season.<\/p>\n

Matt Burton also had issues, notably when Mitchell Moses tackled him and his legs were put in an awkward position.<\/p>\n

The Dogs five-eighth screamed in agony and received medical attention but eventually stayed on the field. <\/p>\n

Kiraz was the first tryscorer in the match but by half-time the Eels were leading 18-4 thanks to four-pointers from Josh Addo-Carr, Ronald Volkman and Joash Papalii.<\/p>\n

After the break it looked like the Bulldogs would mount a comeback when Lachlan Galvin was first to score.<\/p>\n

However, tries to Dylan Walker, Tallyn Da Silva and a penalty goal from Moses meant the lead had gone to 32-10 with eight minutes left.<\/p>\n

Both sides finished strong in attack, exchanging tries through Jonathan Sua, Will Penisini and Bronson Xerri.
