Taylor Swift has announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, just hours after a mysterious countdown on her website ended.<\/p>\n

Known for her precise moves, Swift sparked fan speculation with the countdown set to expire at 12:12 a.m. ET on the 12th, exactly when she revealed the album title during a surprise appearance on Travis Kelce\u2019s podcast, New Heights.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, the release date and tracklist remain unknown.<\/p>\n

The announcement follows Kelce\u2019s Instagram confirmation<\/a> that Swift would join him and his brother Jason on the podcast, with fans guessing her appearance after a silhouette teaser.<\/p>\n

Alongside the news, Swift opened US pre-orders for a Life of a Showgirl Portofino Orange Glitter Vinyl. The translucent orange vinyl with gold glitter is limited to four per customer and will ship before October 13, 2025\u2014though this is not the official album release date. Album artwork will be revealed later. Each vinyl copy may vary slightly due to custom manufacturing.<\/p>\n

The Life of a Showgirl will follow Swift\u2019s previous album, 2024\u2019s The Tortured Poets Department. That record was followed by The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, which dropped a mere few hours after the original was release.<\/p>\n

The release of new music coincided with the final legs of the pop superstar\u2019s historic \u2018Eras Tour\u2019, making the past two years incredibly momentous for Swifties across the world.<\/p>\n

Swift continues to be unstoppable. Earlier this year, she celebrated a major feat<\/a> when she bought back the master recordings for her first six albums and finally gained control of her entire music catalog. \u201cAll of the music I\u2019ve ever made now belongs to me,\u201d the singer wrote in a letter on her website at the time. The news was especially monumental given the six year battle over her masters, which led her to launch her highly successful re-recording endeavor and release Taylor\u2019s Versions of Fearless, Red, Speak Now, and 1989.<\/p>\n
