Macron has introduced a new family of performance jacquard fabrics \u2014 Weave, Laser and Matrix \u2014 developed specifically for use in football club match kits from the 2026\/27 season onward. Produced entirely from polyester derived from post-consumer recycled sources, the three materials form a new range the Bologna-based brand calls Eco 3D Knit, designed by its internal research and development department.<\/p>\n
Three fabrics, three performance profiles<\/p>\n
The shared production method across all three materials is the jacquard weaving technique, which constructs a pattern or design within the yarn structure itself, rather than applying it to the surface after production. The result is a raised, three-dimensional appearance \u2014 both visible and tactile \u2014 that differentiates the fabric from standard flat-knit constructions.<\/p>\n
Beyond that shared principle, each fabric addresses a distinct performance profile.<\/p>\n
Weave features a geometric diagonal construction with a compact, close-knit structure, intended to maximize structural consistency and moisture transfer in high-intensity settings.\u00a0Laser draws on the architecture of laser-cut mesh, integrating three different yarn interlacings to distribute resistance, stretch and ventilation across targeted zones of a garment.\u00a0Matrix uses a warp-knit build with a staggered rib arrangement, prioritizing mechanical elasticity and airflow for garments that demand freedom of movement.<\/p>\n

Kits produced in the new fabrics will be available exclusively in Macron\u2019s Authentic Version: a hallmark of the brand\u2019s philosophy, which has always offered fans and enthusiasts the opportunity to wear exactly the same shirts used on the pitch by players.
