TV and radio personality Carrie Bickmore has unveiled the horrifying wound she suffered to her forehead that\u2019s already drawn comparisons to a certain fictional young wizard bearing a similar-sounding name.<\/p>\n
Explaining the root of her injury on social media, the co-host of HIT\u2019s Carrie and Tommy show said she suffered a nasty accident just a day before she had planned to visit Sri Lanka for a holiday recently.<\/p>\n
\u201cWalked into the corner of the wall over the break. Looked like a crime scene. Blood spurting from my head. Got it glued back together so I could go on holiday with my family the next day,\u201d Bickmore said.<\/p>\n
The mother-of-three, 45, shared images of the gaping cut to the right side of her forehead, as well as the subsequent bandaging she was required to wear in order to carry out her holiday plans.<\/p>\n
\u201cTurns out I have hit a nerve. Healing terribly. And hurting,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlso randomly had a lady drop her carry on suitcase on my head. \ud83e\udd23 God it hurt. Now gotta\u2019 have it fixed properly by a plastics surgeon. Scars are hot yeh?\u201d<\/p>\n
Bickmore joked she now had a \u201cface for radio\u201d, but spruiked her return to TV on Glenn & Mick\u2019s Celebrity Intervention which premieres on Monday night on Channel 7.<\/p>\n
The Perth-raised talent\u2019s injury sparked a chorus of well-wishes from famous friends, including old pal and boss Rove McManus who said simply, \u201cYIKES\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cJAYSUS that\u2019s a wound! Take care x,\u201d Myf Warhurst said, with Rob Mills encouraging Bickmore to \u201cRest up and heal well\u201d.<\/p>\n
Scores of fans also reached out, with one coining a hilarious nickname for the mother: \u201cCARRIE POTTER! \ud83d\ude02 \ud83d\ude02\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re a wizard, Carrie!\u201d another teased.<\/p>\n
Last week, the mother had posted several images of her travels, notably with her hat and sunnies masking any hint of an injury to her forehead.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s now clear she had no choice, opting only to reveal her injuries upon her return to both TV and radio.<\/p>\n

Fortunately for Bickmore, her forthcoming screen cameo was recorded prior to her recent work break and will therefore not feature the sizeable wound.<\/p>\n
Hosted by irreverent pair Mick Molloy and Glenn Robbins, the show drops a host of familiar personalities into comedic intervention scenarios where they\u2019re faced with uncomfortable questions.<\/p>\n
