The film will be shot in Imax and is currently in production.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tO\u2019Connor and Whishaw new castmembers include <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/cailee-spaeny\/\" id=\"auto-tag_cailee-spaeny\" data-tag=\"cailee-spaeny\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cailee Spaeny<\/a>, Tom Burke, Havana Rose Liu, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonathan Pryce, Ruby Cruz, Nick Offerman, John Hodgkinson, Jefferson Hall, Emma Laird and Peter Serafinowicz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPeter Rice is set to produce alongside Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA, as well as George R. R. Martin and Vince Gerardis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tGarland, a longtime gamer and fan of FromSoftware\u2019s Elden Ring, reportedly made a personal pitch to the game\u2019s publishers, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tReleased to critical acclaim in February 2022,\u00a0Elden Ring\u00a0is an action RPG set in an authentic dark fantasy world, which allows players to head off on adventures within vast environments and dungeons. Created under the guidance of FromSoftware\u2019s Hidetaka Miyazaki, the game is based on a story written by Martin, author of the fantasy novel series,\u00a0A Song of Ice and Fire, which served as the basis for HBO\u2019s\u00a0Game of Thrones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSince its release, Elden Ring has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and received over 400 Game of the Year awards. It ranks among the highest-rated games of all time, had one of the biggest debuts in Twitch history, and was one of the most searched games on Google solidifying its place as both a commercial success and a cultural phenomenon.
