Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\nThe 90s TV star played Austin Reed in NBC daytime soap Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995 before briefly returning to the show in 2011.<\/p>\n
He also starred in hit US TV show Melrose Place, for three seasons, between 1995 to 1996, and in Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi action film Starship Troopers in 1997.<\/p>\n
Before his death, he was executive producing Kockroach, starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton and Alec Baldwin.<\/p>\n
Based on the William Lasner novel, the film began production in Australia last week.<\/p>\n
In his final Instagram post, Muldoon wrote: “So excited to be a part of this amazing project.”<\/p>\n
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna shared a throwback picture of herself with the late actor in a 90s promo for Days of Our Lives alongside a heartbreak emoji.<\/p>\n
Alison Sweeney, who starred alongside Muldoon on Days Of Our Lives, said she was heartbroken in a touching tribute to the actor.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is such heartbreaking news. Pat was a rare kind of person – brilliantly talented, endlessly kind and generous in spirit,\u201d she wrote on X.<\/p>\n
She added: “I was so lucky to have worked with him when I first started at Days, he made me feel at ease right away. He brought his unique charm and humour to work every day. A truly gifted guy, and one who will be profoundly missed.”<\/p>\n
Dian Meyer, who starred alongside him on Starship Troopers, wrote: “I can’t believe he’s gone. Pat was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known and was like a brother to me.<\/p>\n
“He was such a light… always making us laugh. My sincere condolences to his family, and everyone who loved him. He will be missed.”<\/p>\n
Born in San Pedro, California, Muldoon began his acting career while studying at the University of Southern California.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He landed a role as Jeffrey Hunter on Saved By the Bell, after graduating in 1991, before his breakthrough role on Days of Our Lives and later Melrose Place.<\/p>\n
Muldoon worked on several productions behind the scenes, producing films such as The Tribes of Palos Verdes and Marlowe.<\/p>\n
He also had a band called The Sleeping Masses.<\/p>\n
