The NSW government is aiming to improve investment in Australia\u2019s first new city in 100 years as the clock ticks down on its biggest infrastructure project. <\/p>\n
The state government is looking to accelerate the development of Bradfield City, a brand new centre planned within the vicinity of the Western Sydney International Airport set to open later this year. <\/p>\n
A new campaign describes the city as being \u201cbuilt for what\u2019s next\u201d, with expressions of interest open for businesses looking to relocate to a mixed-use zone in the area dubbed the \u201cEnterprise Precinct\u201d. <\/p>\n
What\u2019s built for now in Bradfield is just one building \u2013 the \u201cAdvanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility\u201d. That\u2019s despite Western Sydney International Airport being scheduled to open for passenger flights as soon as October.<\/p>\n

The new marketing push comes as part of the Minns Labor Government\u2019s desire to make Bradfield a national hub for innovation and manufacturing, with the state government particularly interested in attracting investment from sectors such as aerospace, modern construction, defence, education and research, freight and logistics, advanced manufacturing, agtech, semiconductors and critical technologies.<\/p>\n
Last December, the Minns government penned a $1bn deal to develop the city\u2019s first 1,400 homes, as well as a hotel, university campus and commercial opportunities.<\/p>\n
Developers Plenary have been tasked with opening expressions of interest in the coming weeks to find a university partner for the area, as well as additional commercial tenants.<\/p>\n
The state government claims 10,000 new homes will be introduced in the City of Bradfield, with the area due to welcome its first residents in 2030.<\/p>\n

Picture: NSW Government<\/p>\n The Western Sydney Airport project has previously been criticised for a lack of confirmed pre-opening agreements with airlines. <\/p>\n Qantas, Jetstar, Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand are the only airlines to have confirmed their use of the airport so far. <\/p>\n Deputy premier of NSW and minister for Western Sydney Prue Car said the Minns Labor Government was \u201cbacking industry, reducing red tape, and creating new jobs\u201d for Western Sydney.<\/p>\n \u201cBradfield City is right at the heart of this work,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n \u201cAs the Aerotropolis grows, we have a chance to create new pathways for jobs, education, and infrastructure in our growing communities.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Minns Labor Government wants businesses and investors to take the next step, bring your ambition, your ideas, and help us shape the future for Western Sydney.\u201d<\/p>\n MORE: Radiator billionaire\u2019s new million dollar move<\/a><\/p>\n Artist\u2019s impressions of the Bradfield city precinct.
