TAG Heuer extends the Formula 1 Solargraph range even further, introducing five new 38mm references showcasing a series of new pastel colourways.
\nThe limited edition collection includes pastel shades of green, lavender blue, blue, beige, and pink, incorporating contrasting dial details and some diamond-set surprises.
\nPowered by the Solargraph movement, the watches use both natural and artificial light as an energy source, with just one minute of light exposure being enough to power the watch for an entire day.<\/p>\n

2025 was indeed a major year for TAG Heuer; not only did they make a triumphant return as the official timekeeper for Formula 1<\/a>, but they also rolled back the clock and reintroduced the Formula 1 Solargraph<\/a>, an instant hit with TAG Heuer enthusiasts and collectors, but also a watch that works as a springboard for new TAG Heuer fans to enter the fold. A year on, and the watch world had just about gotten used to the fact that the colourful F1 is back in the catalogue, and so, it would be a perfect opportunity for TAG Heuer to stir things up once more. So, after plenty of stirring and playing with the Polylight colour options at the factory, the Formula 1 Solargraph is back for 2026, this time letting a pastel palette set the tone, without softening the attitude.<\/p>\n

The welcomed, slightly beefier proportions of last year\u2019s model carry over to this new pastel collection, measuring 38mm in diameter and 9.9mm thick, with two variations available. First, two models feature a sandblasted stainless steel case, and we\u2019ll get onto why in a moment, while the other three feature cases made from TAG Heuer\u2019s proprietary bio-polamide plastic, Polylight.<\/p>\n

These three are finished in pastel blue, beige, and pink, and feature case-matching rubber straps and bidirectional-rotating Polylight bezels. For the sake of durability, all of the F1 Solargraphs come equipped with screw-down crowns and casebacks, ensuring a 100-metre water resistance.<\/p>\n

The three Polylight-cased versions feature case-matching opaline dials that are identical in layout to the original model, incorporating details such as the small date window, lume-filled Mercedes-style hour hand, and TAG Heuer logo-shaped hour markers at 6, 9, and 12. Each dial also features a contrasting accent, such as grey with beige, dark blue with the blue model, and dark pink with the pastel pink model, all offering the dial a little character.<\/p>\n

The dials on the stainless steel models differ slightly, while they both feature pastel green and lavender blue dials to match the Polylight bezels, they are set with eight VS-grade diamonds in place of the circular hour markers, not only giving these models a slightly more femenine touch, but it can be said that they bring a little bit of luxury to the Formula 1 Solargraph.<\/p>\n

As before, the watches are equipped with TAG Heuer\u2019s TH50-00 Solargraph movement, developed in partnership with the Swiss manufacturer responsible for some of the most successful solar movements on the market, La Joux-Perret<\/a>. It can be charged using either artificial or natural light<\/a>, and according to TAG Heuer, it can be charged enough to cover a full day with just one minute of exposure to light. Once fully charged after around 40 hours of exposure, this delivers up to 10 months of power reserve in darkness.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth noting that while I\u2019m not one to question information from brands, this is quite different from what was stated last year when the watch was introduced. Last year\u2019s model took 2 minutes to charge for a day\u2019s power, and 20 hours to charge to full, delivering the same 10-month power reserve, so clearly, there\u2019s been some quiet work going on in the background with the Solargraph.<\/p>\n

Just like the dials, each Polylight pastel model arrives fitted to a case-matching rubber strap which features big, blocky TAG Heuer branding, and is secured with a stainless steel, engraved pin buckle. Conversely, the stainless steel models feature a 3-link steel bracelet, sandblasted to match the surface of the case. These are closed with a steel folding clasp that features double safety push-buttons and adjustment link extensions, ensuring a perfect fit.<\/p>\n
