It was direction. Peacock\u2019s job was to give him a roadmap.<\/p>\n<p>Step 1: Stop Beasting Yourself for No Reason<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"19\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Eddie\u2019s escape hatch has always been running. Peacock, now 40 himself, says being brutally honest with his own training has helped him better relate to Hearn. Peacock says the goal now isn\u2019t chasing ever-evolving PB\u2019s on Strava or in the gym \u2013 it\u2019s compounding repeatable efforts, day in, day out. \u2018As long as you can keep doing that\u2026 you\u2019re going to move forward.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Step 3: Make it Simple, Make it Repeatable<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"59\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Peacock is very clear: he\u2019s not a \u2018bells and whistles\u2019 coach. All using duration-based rounds (eg, 30 seconds on\/off) for 20-30 minutes. \u2018It does the job.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>A Lifestyle Choice<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"110\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">The easiest cheap shot with celebrity training is: Yeah, but they\u2019ve got a trainer. Peacock doesn\u2019t deny the support helps \u2013 but he\u2019s adamant the harder part is still on Eddie: making the time when your day is volatile and your phone is basically glued to your palm and never off. Eddie could always choose the easier option: downtime, more calls, more business, more rest. \u2018It would be easier for Eddie not to do it\u2026 but he chooses to, every time\u2019.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"114\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">And the \u2018why\u2019 isn\u2019t just aesthetics, or even fitness. Peacock says Hearn loves feeling strong, \u2018fitting in a shirt\u2019, and turning up to fight night confident. \u2018For all the other success, you can\u2019t buy a good body\u2026 you have to work for it.
