Donald Trump has said he doesn\u2019t want to extend the ceasefire with Iran which is due to expire today.<\/p>\n

Asked on Tuesday, US time, if he would increase the time for talks if negotiations progress, the US president said: \u201cI don\u2019t want to do that\u201d.<\/p>\n

He later added Trump: \u201cI expect to be bombing\u201d.<\/p>\n

Yet earlier, Mr Trump took to social media to insist \u201cthings are going very well\u201d, and to fume about \u201ctraitors\u201d within his own country.<\/p>\n

Pakistan, which has been acting as a mediator between the warring nations, is leading efforts to schedule new negotiations in Islamabad.<\/p>\n

Iran has said it won\u2019t attend them unless the American blockade of its ports is lifted; Mr Trump has indicated the blockade will remain in place until a peace deal is reached. For now, the impasse is holding.<\/p>\n
