{"id":622249,"date":"2026-04-21T22:10:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T22:10:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/622249\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T22:10:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T22:10:13","slug":"stars-glen-gulutzan-offers-roope-hintz-injury-update-ahead-of-game-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/622249\/","title":{"rendered":"Stars&#8217; Glen Gulutzan offers Roope Hintz injury update ahead of Game 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/stars\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Stars<\/a> forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/roope-hintz\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Roope Hintz<\/a> will not travel to Minnesota with the team for Games 3 and 4 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Stars coach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/glen-gulutzan\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Glen Gulutzan<\/a> said shortly before the team boarded its flight Tuesday afternoon that Hintz is officially out for Game 3 and \u201cvery doubtful\u201d for Game 4.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully, by the time we get back, we\u2019re in a good spot, and he\u2019s in a good spot,\u201d Gulutzan added.<\/p>\n<p>Hintz was injured during Dallas\u2019 March 6 game against the Colorado Avalanche after a collision with Nathan MacKinnon. It was his first game back from the Olympic break after dealing with an illness for over a week. Hintz then suffered a setback in his recovery, as the Stars initially thought he would return ahead of the postseason.<\/p>\n<p>Gulutzan said Sunday that he is not yet skating, either alone or with the group. Unless something drastically changes, it wouldn&#8217;t be surprising if he missed the entire first round.<\/p>\n<p>Hintz had 44 points in 53 games for the Stars this season.
