As the Denver Broncos<\/a> approach the 2026 NFL draft, one of their biggest roster needs<\/a> is (arguably) tight end.<\/p>\n

Evan Engram<\/a> will turn 32 in September, and even if Engram is more productive in his second season with the Broncos, coach Sean Payton needs a long-term receiving threat at the position.<\/p>\n

Today, we’re taking a quick look at seven tight ends the Broncos could target with one of their first three picks in the draft. Denver\u00a0does not hold<\/a>\u00a0a first- or third-round pick this year, but the team holds selections in the second (No. 62 overall) and fourth (Nos. 108 and 111) rounds. These tight ends could be potential candidates at those spots.<\/p>\n

Tight ends for Broncos in NFL draft<\/p>\n

1. Vanderbilt TE Eli Stowers (6-3, 239 pounds): Stowers<\/a> has been heavily linked to Denver<\/a> leading up to the draft, but they might need to trade up if he’s the target. He won the John Mackey Award (given to the nation’s top tight end) last fall after totaling 62 receptions for 769 yards and four touchdowns.<\/p>\n

2. Ohio State TE Max Klare (6-4, 246 pounds): Klare earned first-team All-Big Ten recognition last season after hauling in 43 receptions for 448 yards and two scores.<\/p>\n

3. Stanford TE Sam Roush (6-6, 267 pounds): Roush totaled 49 catches for 545 yards and two scores in 2025, earning second-team All-ACC honors.<\/p>\n

4. Georgia TE Oscar Delp<\/a> (6-4, 245 pounds): In four seasons with the Bulldogs, Delp hauled in 70 receptions for 854 yards and nine touchdowns (55 games).<\/p>\n

5. NC State TE Justin Joly (6-3, 241 pounds): Joly turned 49 receptions into 489 yards and seven scores last fall, earning first-team All-ACC recognition.<\/p>\n

6. Texas A&M TE Nate Boerkirche (6-5, 245 pounds): Boerkirche spent six years at Nebraska. Last fall, he totaled 19 receptions for 198 yards and three scores.<\/p>\n

7. Texas TE Jack Endries (6-4, 245 pounds): Before hauling in 33 receptions for 346 yards and three scores with the Longhorns<\/a> in 2025, Endries totaled 91 receptions for 1,030 yards and four touchdowns from 2023-2024 at Cal (26 games).<\/p>\n

The NFL draft will be held in Pittsburgh<\/a> this week, with Round 1 set for Thursday evening, Rounds 2-3 scheduled for Friday and Rounds 4-7 set for Saturday. We’ll have coverage of Denver’s picks on\u00a0Broncos Wire<\/a>.<\/p>\n
