MALIBU, Calif.\u00a0\u2014 Pepperdine men’s basketball head coach Griff Aldrich<\/a> has announced the signing of redshirt junior forward Anthony Robinson from Xavier ahead of the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n

Robinson is a 6-10 forward from Atlanta, who played this past season at Xavier University after spending two years at the University of Virginia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I could not be more excited about Anthony Robinson joining our inaugural recruiting class here at Pepperdine,” said head coach Griff Aldrich<\/a>. “Beyond being an outstanding talent, Anthony is an exceptional young man who will represent the University and community extremely well. On the court, his athleticism and physicality will be a force in the WCC and we look forward to his impacting both sides of the ball in a meaningful way.”<\/p>\n

Robinson appeared in 26 games for the Musketeers in 2025-26, making three starts and averaging 10.1 minutes per game. He posted 2.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, with 30 of his 63 total rebounds coming on the offensive glass.<\/p>\n

He scored in double figures twice on the season, including a 10-point (5-6 FG) effort at St. John’s in the lone conference game in which he played over 15 minutes.<\/p>\n

As a redshirt freshman at Virginia in 2024-25, Robinson averaged 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 26 appearances. He shot .721 from the field on the year playing just under 10 minutes per game. Robinson was named to the All-ACC Academic Team following the season.<\/p>\n

After playing his first two high school seasons at Starr’s Mill High School in Georgia, Robinson spent his final two seasons (2021-23) at Christ School in Arden, N.C. He led Christ School to the 2023 NCISAA 4A State Championship, averaging a double-double with two blocks per game on the way to a 31-4 overall record.<\/p>\n
