I’m a Celebrity: South Africa star Beverley Callard<\/a> has shared her emotional reaction to her exit from the show, as she said that moment was “the start of everything” and would lead to her being diagnosed with breast cancer.<\/a> <\/p>\n

In a twist for viewers, the Coronation Street<\/a> star was advised to leave the show after losing consciousness. <\/p>\n

Following her exit, which aired last night, the actor took to Instagram<\/a> in a video as she rewatched the moment she told her campmates she would have to go home.<\/p>\n

“I’ve just watched my exit on I’m a Celeb and it made me cry all over again because, of course I didn’t know then that I had cancer, but I just knew that it was the sort of couple of days there that I’d not felt very well,” Callard said in the clip.<\/p>\n

“What happened was, I went into the Bush Telegraph, and I lost consciousness for a little while,” she continued, adding: “I just wasn’t feeling myself.”<\/p>\n

Looking back on the frightening moment, she thanked the medical staff on site. <\/p>\n

“They took me to a medical hub, they were amazing. They looked after me and then said, ‘You can’t go back’,” she said.<\/p>\n

Despite insisting she’d be “fine”, Callard decided to follow medical advice and left the all-star series, sharing regret over wanting to “make it through to the end”.<\/p>\n

“But that was the start of everything, really,” she said, reflecting on her cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

“So it’s made me really emotional, but I will beat this. I will beat it.”<\/p>\n

In the caption, Callard also added: “I wanted to prove that age is just a number and I feel so proud of what I achieved. Just got to get through this real life trial now.”<\/p>\n

Fans and celebrities flocked to the comments section to share their love for Callard, with I’m a Celebrity star Seann Walsh writing: “You were brilliant, Bev. Such a pleasure to do it with you. Sending you my love.”<\/p>\n

“You did prove that Bev. Sending love and so proud of you,” campmate Ashley Roberts also wrote.
