England vice-captain Alex Matthews has signed a new deal to stay with Premiership Women’s Rugby reigning champions Gloucester-Hartpury.<\/p>\n
Matthews, 32, joined the club in 2022 and has been part of all three PWR titles the team has won over the past three seasons.<\/p>\n
The number eight has won 82 caps for the Red Roses and is part of their current Six Nations squad, although a shoulder injury<\/a> prevented her from playing a part in their win<\/a> against Scotland on Saturday.<\/p>\n “I’m really pleased to have extended my time with Gloucester-Hartpury,” Matthews said.<\/p>\n “We’ve built something really special here over the past few years and it’s a group I love being a part of.
