Denise believes the timing was no accident.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think someone waited until we were attempting to get into our car,\u201d she claims.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were parked there for over an hour. I find it incredibly unlikely that it was a coincidence that it happened at the exact moment we were getting into our car. The act itself seemed deliberate, so why wouldn\u2019t the timing be as well?\u201d<\/p>\n
Alarmingly, Denise said employees at the nearby cafe told her to \u201cleave quickly\u201d because more waste might be coming, suggesting this was a well-known local issue.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was just glad it didn\u2019t hit my children or me,\u201d Denise said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy youngest has Down syndrome, and although it would be completely vile for any person to be targeted, there\u2019s something about his vulnerability that makes it even more disgraceful to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
The mum has sworn \u201cnever\u201d to park in that spot again and might even avoid the area altogether.<\/p>\n
The Tesla dashcam evidence<\/p>\n
Denise shared her story in a community Facebook group, sparking a wave of similar reports from other locals, including Michelle*, who experienced a near-identical encounter at the same location.<\/p>\n
At 6:30pm on March 14, Michelle returned to her Tesla after picking up dinner to find a \u201cfoul\u201d smell coming from the car. <\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t see it happen, but poo was thrown from an upper-story apartment onto the bonnet,\u201d she told news.com.au. <\/p>\n
After driving home and realising the mess was not from an animal, she and her husband spent the night cleaning the \u201csickening\u201d splatter and reviewing the dashcam footage.<\/p>\n
It captured the moment when what appears to be faeces fell from above and landed on the bonnet of her car. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe brushed it off as an odd, unfortunate event until I saw the posts online and realised it appears to be more frequent, intentional and targeted,\u201d Michelle said.<\/p>\n
The potential motive<\/p>\n
While the motive is unknown, some locals suggest a \u201cparking vigilante\u201d could be behind the attacks. <\/p>\n
The area where the incidents occurred is a loading zone during certain hours, but reverts to \u20181P\u2019 public parking at other times. <\/p>\n
Both Denise and Michelle confirmed they were parked legally under the \u20181P All Other Times\u2019 rule when they were hit.<\/p>\n
\u201cSame thing happened to me in the same parking spot. I thought I must have upset someone by parking in their spot,\u201d another woman commented on the post, sharing a photo of a similar incident from January 29.<\/p>\n
Others thought it could be a prank filmed for social media. <\/p>\n
\u201cI bet it was some teenage boy who thought it was funny,\u201d one person suggested. <\/p>\n
Other residents called the behaviour \u201cabhorrent\u201d and a \u201cbiohazard\u201d to the children playing just meters away.<\/p>\n
Someone else added: \u201cThis is actually SHOCKING! The Shire isn\u2019t like it used to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis world is getting sicker, weirder and more depraved,\u201d a different local mused. \u201cWhat is wrong with people?\u201d <\/p>\n
Many then theorised that drugs or mental health issues may be a factor, saying the person responsible may \u201cneed help\u201d. <\/p>\n
Criminal charges <\/p>\n
NSW Police have confirmed they are aware of the situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cInquiries with centre management security have confirmed similar incidents have occurred at the location previously,\u201d a police spokesperson told news.com.au.<\/p>\n
Throwing faeces off a balcony may be treated as a serious criminal matter. <\/p>\n
Perpetrators could face charges of common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, public nuisance or malicious damage to property, which may carry heavy fines and up to five years in prison.<\/p>\n
South Village Apartments and 7th Heaven Cafe have been contacted for comment.<\/p>\n
