NRL Physio, aka Brien Seeney, has lifted the lid on just what NRL clubs think of him\u2014and it isn\u2019t always complimentary.<\/p>\n
In a wide-ranging chat on the Inside Ball podcast<\/a> with Kevin Walters, Seeney revealed the lengths some clubs go to in order to let him know their displeasure with his social media analyses of player injuries and estimated recovery timelines which have almost 250,000 followers on Instagram and\u00a0X.<\/p>\n \u201cI understand from a club\u2019s perspective,\u201d Seeney said, drawing upon 16 years of experience as a qualified sports physiotherapist.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have the private side where it\u2019s about private medical information, but it\u2019s also the competitive advantage, you don\u2019t want another team to know that someone is dealing with a rib injury or a shoulder if you can hide that.\u201d<\/p>\n MORE:\u00a0Why Mitch Barnett chose Broncos over Knights – Two things no other NRL club could offer<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIf I was a physio at a club I would not release any information, I\u2019d say \u2018shoulder injury, 3-6 weeks\u2019 and leave it at that, which is pretty close to what they do,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Seeney went on to reveal he\u2019s had more than his share of run-ins with NRL club officials and medical staff over the years that\u00a0NRL Physio<\/a> has been active.<\/p>\n \u201cIn terms of the 17 NRL clubs, there have been 14 or 15 that have let me know very directly how much they don\u2019t like what I do,\u201d he chuckled.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s brutal.\u201d<\/p>\n Which club hates NRL Physio the most?<\/p>\n Asked if there was one club that was particularly sensitive, Seeney agreed there was.<\/p>\n
