Richmond coach Adam Yze is dropping the handbrake on his young Tigers.<\/p>\n
The Tigers are the only winless team in the competition after six rounds and face the rejuvenated Melbourne in the annual Anzac Day eve clash on Friday night.<\/p>\n
They enter as outsiders but Yze, in his third season at the helm, is calling on his players to adopt a \u201cnothing to lose\u201d mentality.<\/p>\n
\u201c(Melbourne) have started the season really well and obviously still have a lot of premiership players in their side,\u201d Yze said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s no secret they\u2019re highly talented, they\u2019ve got some younger lads playing certain roles that are helping and obviously their captain is in really good form.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be a big test for us, on a big stage, against a team that\u2019s in form \u2013 they\u2019ve just beaten last year\u2019s premiers.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur boys are really looking forward to that, we\u2019ve got nothing to lose, we\u2019ve got some young lads playing.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an amazing game, we\u2019re really privileged to be playing in it, we\u2019ve got to do it justice.\u201d<\/p>\n
Richmond is unveiling debutants Sam Cumming and Tom Burton as well as regaining Tom Lynch\u2019s experience. <\/p>\n
Yze expects the hard-running debutants to take their opponents on \u201ca tour of the MCG\u201d while relishing in having Lynch\u2019s leadership back in the forward 50.<\/p>\n
\u201c(Lynch) is ready to go, he was almost ready last week and the decision was to be really cautious with him,\u201d Yze said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe would\u2019ve been coming off a five-day break if we played him last week, so we took that extra week to get another week of training in him.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve obviously got a really young forward line at the moment, so to have him down there is one important for leadership.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut his contest and the form he was in before he hurt himself was really strong. We can\u2019t wait to see him back out there in our colours.\u201d<\/p>\n
