Coronation Street star Beth Nixon may or may not have dropped a spoiler regarding the upcoming “Murder Week<\/a>“. The shock storyline will see one of five characters killed off on the day of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding.<\/p>\n

The identity of one of the five \u2013 Megan Walsh, Jodie Ramsey, Carl Webster, Theo Silverton and Maggie Driscoll \u2013 will be unveiled after standalone episodes from each of their perspectives next week.<\/p>\n

Beth has now dropped a big hint that it could be her character Megan during an appearance on This Morning, where she referred to her experience being great “from start to finish”.<\/p>\n

“I’ve loved it, there’s so much to play with and it’s such an honour to be trusted with a storyline like that as well, because it’s so delicate,” she said. “But there’s so much in it, I get to work with a lot of the greats there as well. It’s been amazing from start to finish.”<\/p>\n

Did she let slip a big spoiler, or could this be a bit of a red herring?<\/p>\n

After all, she isn’t the first of the five central stars to potentially reveal their fates, with Carl actor Jonathan Howard appearing on This Morning<\/a> in February from the Corrie set with black eye make-up on.<\/p>\n

When presenter Sharon Marshall suggested it was a “spoiler clue”, Jonathan responded: “Yes, the make-up team did a great job this morning \u2013 completely covering me in blood because Carl’s going to get into some trouble. [He’s in] a few fights, yeah. Things are going to get pretty bad for Carl.”<\/p>\n

After it was noted that he used the past tense during the interview, the actor teased: “We’re going to see what happens in the future\u2026”<\/p>\n

Soap producer Kate Brooks previously teased “so many twists and so many turns”<\/a> for the storyline, adding: “It’s been a real challenge in some ways, because it is so complex and intricate, but it’s so exciting.”<\/p>\n

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
