Donnie Wahlberg<\/a> danced his way onto Wednesday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,\u201d moving and grooving with the late-night host as The Roots introduced the Boston star by playing the New Kids on the Block<\/a> hit \u201cYou Got It (The Right Stuff).\u201d<\/p>\n

Dubbing Fallon \u201cthe sixth New Kid\u201d for his fancy footwork, Wahlberg admitted that, as he\u2019s gotten older, he\u2019s enjoyed hearing the song more, although that wasn\u2019t always the case.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was younger, I\u2019d go to a Celtics game or something, and they\u2019d start playing [it] and I\u2019d be like, \u2018I just want to watch the game,\u2019\u201d Wahlberg admitted to Fallon, noting how fans back then would sometimes scream \u201cDonnie, you\u2019re a losah\u201d at him during games. However, he gets more cheers than jeers these days, and has changed his tune on the song. \u201cAs I get older, I really embrace it. I really love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fallon and Wahlberg proceeded to have a wide-ranging chat, covering everything from their time together on the set of the Emmy-winning series \u201cBand of Brothers\u201d to looking back at NKOTB\u2019s debut album, which celebrated its 40th anniversary this month. Turning the conversation to Wahlberg\u2019s latest project, the \u201cBlue Bloods\u201d spinoff series \u201cBoston Blue,\u201d Fallon joked that the actor and singer, who\u2019s \u201cfamously\u201d from the Hub, fueled up for the late-night appearance in the most Boston way possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I went to say hi to you before the show, in your dressing room, you were drinking a Dunkin\u2019,\u201d Fallon said, with Wahlberg noting that he had some sweet treats too. \u201cWe had, actually, Dunkin\u2019 doughnuts.\u201d<\/p>\n

While \u201cBoston Blue\u201d is set in the Bay State, Wahlberg\u2019s character on the show is from the Big Apple, with the New Kid explaining that it can get complicated since he\u2019s \u201ca Bostonian playing a New Yorker moving to Boston.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t win the Emmy, I don\u2019t know what we\u2019re doing wrong, buddy,\u201d Fallon joked, with Wahlberg quipping, \u201cI\u2019ll settle for a Blockbuster Video Award at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Admitting that his Boston accent will slip out occasionally during production, Wahlberg also revealed that filming in the Hub for the series would sometimes get chaotic, as locals would often call out to him in the middle of scenes. \u201cI can\u2019t say no to anyone in Boston,\u201d said Wahlberg.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBoston Blue\u201d actor went on to explain how Celtics star Jaylen Brown<\/a> ended up on the show earlier this year, revealing that he\u2019s friends with the NBA champion. According to Wahlberg, Brown asked about doing a cameo and got to film his part during an off-day following a game in Toronto (Wahlberg noted that \u201cBoston Blue\u201d mostly films in Toronto).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe scene was him ridiculing me \u2018cause [my character is] a Knicks fan,\u201d Wahlberg said. \u201cI\u2019m the biggest Celtics fan. But I had to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for other Boston celebrities he\u2019d like to see on the show, Wahlberg mentioned his famous younger brother<\/a>, but didn\u2019t sound confident on booking him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to get some other Boston guys in it,\u201d Wahlberg said. \u201cMark Wahlberg maybe. I don\u2019t know. He don\u2019t want to act with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The New Kids on the Block member went on to joke that his brother could play an \u201cold retired Marky Mark\u201d who\u2019s \u201cselling hot dogs at the Celtics game,\u201d while Fallon thought he\u2019d make for a good priest on the show as \u201cFather Marky Mark.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were also thrown out there as cameo contenders, Wahlberg mentioned that Fallon would make for a great guest star too.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re not a Bostonian, but you do a good accent,\u201d Wahlberg told the \u201cFever Pitch\u201d star<\/a>. \u201cYou would be a great guest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fallon said he\u2019d love to appear on the show, with the stars proceeding to do a little acting roleplay. <\/p>\n

\u201cI would say, \u2018Hey, drop the Dunkin\u2019s coffee\u2019 in my New York accent,\u201d Wahlberg joked, with Fallon responding, \u201cI would fake do a Boston accent, \u2018I\u2019m sorry, officah.\u201d<\/p>\n
