Eddie Hearn has questioned Tim Tszyu\u2019s shock decision to partner up with Hall of Famer Jeff Fenech <\/a>\u2013 while also unveiling plans to bring American superstar Jaron \u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis Down Under for younger brother Nikita. <\/p>\n

The popular UK promoter has also declared Australia\u2019s new \u2018KO King\u2019 Teremoana Jnr not only capable of winning a world title within the year, but changing the national boxing landscape forever.<\/p>\n

Already a huge player on the world boxing scene, Hearn is now readying to head Down Under for next Wednesday\u2019s first Matchroom show under an exciting, new Australian broadcast deal \u2013 which features the likes of Skye Nicolson, Teremoana Jnr and Jake Wyllie.<\/p>\n

Should Nicolson defend WBC gold in the main event, the Matchroom boss has declared himself keen to open discussions for a host of big name options including Ellie Scotney, Amanda Serrano, even an all-Australian showdown with Cherneka Johnson.<\/p>\n

Speaking with Fox Sports Australia from Las Vegas on Friday morning, Hearn also talked up a host of other potential fights over the first year of his new deal, which includes offering the undefeated Nikita Tszyu a title shot at one of two hugely popular clients \u2013 \u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis and Englishman Josh Kelly.<\/p>\n

While Kelly only recently claimed the IBF super welterweight title, Ennis is readying to challenge Puerto Rico\u2019s Xander Zayas for the WBO and WBA titles in June.<\/p>\n

Importantly, Australian promoters No Limit are also already in various discussions around the future of Nikita \u2013 who next headlines against exciting Spaniard Oscar Diaz on May 6 \u2013 while also currently finalising plans for Tim Tszyu\u2019s impending blockbuster against Errol Spence Jnr.<\/p>\n

Hearn, meanwhile, also gave his take on the elder Tszyu\u2019s shock decision overnight to part ways with a team for the second time in only six months.<\/p>\n

He has now signed Fenech up as both trainer and manager for the Spence showdown. <\/p>\n

Quizzed on the shock new partnership that unites two of Australia\u2019s most famous fighting names, Hearn grinned: \u201cYeah, I\u2019ve seen it, interesting link up.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause Tim was already aggressive enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut now, linking up with Jeff Fenech? It\u2019s going to be all out war.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith these things though, it\u2019s whatever suits the fighter really.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause there are some great trainers out there who don\u2019t suit certain fighters. And some average trainers that suit others.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo while Jeff Fenech definitely isn\u2019t the right trainer for a lot of fighters, I do love Jeff, he\u2019s got loads of heart and you know he will give you everything.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a great fighter, he\u2019s a good trainer, and you know he will live and breathe it with you.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd if that works for Tim Tszyu, good luck to them both.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hearn also admitted however that sacking two teams within six months did come with questions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe jumping about is never good,\u201d he said. \u201cEspecially at the back end of your career.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it is all or nothing against Errol Spence.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Tim loses that fight, it\u2019s all over.<\/p>\n

\u201cTim Tszyu is going to fight Errol Spence and it sounds like that is going to be in Australia, so you\u2019ve got to take your hat off to him. And No Limit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, how he keeps getting an opportunity is quite incredible. But if he loses to Spence, obviously that becomes the end of the road \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

When it comes to Nikita Tszyu meanwhile, Hearn is also incredibly interested.<\/p>\n

As already revealed by Fox Sports Australia this week, if Tim Tszyu upsets Spence in June or July this year, Matchroom Boxing would be interested in co-promoting a huge Australian world title showdown, most likely against Kelly.<\/p>\n

However Hearn stressed little brother was also a strong option, even for Boots.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really like Nikita Tszyu, think he\u2019s an exciting fighter,\u201d the UK promoter said. \u201cAnd he\u2019s going to be putting himself into a position very soon to be challenging for a world title.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd maybe that\u2019s Josh Kelly.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut don\u2019t forget also that we\u2019ve got Jaron Ennis, who I think is among the greatest pound for pound fighters in the sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd he\u2019s going to be fighting for the unified world title against Xander Zayas (in June).<\/p>\n

\u201cSo if he wins that, maybe we come to Australia and do something.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d love to bring a big name American fighter over to Australia and so maybe that\u2019s the fight with Nikita Tszyu, who knows?\u201d<\/p>\n

In next Wednesday\u2019s main event meanwhile, Nicolson defends her interim WBC super bantamweight crown against Mariah Turner \u2013 with the winner set to become mandatory for undisputed champ Ellie Scotney.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there\u2019s also a chance we could bring Amanda Serrano down to Australia,\u201d Hearn said of the superstar who campaigns a weight class higher. \u201cAnd the one I think is really interesting, it\u2019s a fight with Cherneka Johnson for undisputed at 118 pounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know they\u2019re both friends but that is a hell of a fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the Matchroom co-main, Teremoana will look to continue his brutal run of finishes against Bowie Tupou. <\/p>\n

\u201cTeremoana can be a superstar of Australian sport,\u201d Hearn insisted. \u201cI think you\u2019re looking at a future world champion of the heavyweight division<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd those big fights in the flagship division are going to be really important moving forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor casual fans, it\u2019s their favourite thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey understand it.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo big blokes going at it, trying to knock each other\u2019s heads off. It\u2019s not rocket science but that is what people want to see.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey want to see knockouts and they want to see explosive performances.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd that\u2019s what you\u2019ll get with Teremoana.<\/p>\n

\u201cA giant of a man who knocks people cold.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs he rises up through the levels too, it will only get more and more exciting.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s going to start beating better and better opposition, which is when the public starts buying into the fact that Australia might just have the future world champion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, imagine if the heavyweight champion of the world is Australian? And a guy that\u2019s really, really good?<\/p>\n
