It will be provided to broadcasters of the competition alongside a catalogue of other content, as well as being made available on the FIBA YouTube channel in August.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The World On Our Shoulders was produced by FIBA Media, a partnership between FIBA and DAZN, and written and directed by\u00a0Fabrice Castanier.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It uses\u00a0uses archival footage, plus\u00a0interviews with legendary players and coaches such as Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson, as well as sports historians, to explore the triumphs, struggles, and breakthrough moments that shaped the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Castanier said:\u00a0\u201cThis documentary is indeed a historical film, but it is by no means intended to be melancholic.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will not merely recount past anecdotes or uplifting stories. Instead, it aims to provide a long-term analysis, showing a parallel evolution between women\u2019s emancipation in society and the increasingly significant role of women\u2019s basketball.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will illustrate the connections between these two phenomena. It is also a film that looks to the present and focuses on the future.
