Stroke Play Scoring | Match Play Scoring

Morehead, Ky. — The Morehead State Men’s Golf Team will be heading up to West Lafayette, IN., to compete in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The event will be held April 26-29.

The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday (Apr. 26) with 54-hole stroke play including all 11 teams. The top four teams will advance to match play and will battle for the OVC-Title on the final day (Apr. 29)

The Eagles had a lot of highlight worthy moments over the course of the season. The Eagles broke the school record at the Derek Dolenc Invitational for lowest team score in a 54-hole tournament (833) and best score in relation to par (-19) back in September of 2025. There have been multiple great individual performances as well, none better than Seamus Bogan’s first place finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational in early March. Bogan shot 12 under par, which was the second best performance in the past 15 years for Morehead State Golf. The Eagles also tallied two tournament victories this season at The Keene Trace Collegiate and The Carpenter-Chaney Classic.

This marks the first time that the OVC Championship has been held at the Ackerman-Allen Course.

“All year we are building for this event”, said Head Coach Matthew Martin. “We look forward to a fun week of challenging competition. We have an idea of what to expect from the course, but the practice round will be valuable since everyone is seeing it for the first time.”

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION TOURNAMENT LINEUP Notable
