{"id":628596,"date":"2026-04-24T20:47:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T20:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/628596\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T20:47:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T20:47:19","slug":"browns-first-rounder-spencer-fano-happy-he-wont-have-to-play-against-myles-garrett","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/628596\/","title":{"rendered":"Browns first-rounder Spencer Fano happy he won&#8217;t have to play against Myles Garrett"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spencer Fano was excited to hear his name called as the ninth overall pick in the draft on Thursday night and the offensive tackle was also excited when he realized what being tabbed by the Browns would mean for him on the field. <\/p>\n<p>Fano will have to tangle with a lot of talented pass rushers once his rookie season is underway, but joining the Browns means that he won\u2019t have to figure out how to keep Myles Garrett from sacking Cleveland\u2019s quarterback. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of my first thoughts was \u2018I don\u2019t have to play Myles Garrett on Sundays,\u2019\u201d Fano said at a Thursday press conference. <\/p>\n<p>Fano won\u2019t have to face Garrett in game action, but they should see plenty of practice reps against each other and the rookie believes that will benefit his growth as a player. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so excited,\u201d Fano said. \u201cThere\u2019s <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Oob_iaZU8rQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">no better way<\/a> for me to get better than going against someone like that.
