Jermod McCoy is the most prominent prospect to have fallen in the 2026 NFL Draft due to medical concerns. He is still available as Day 3 as the draft gets underway. In addition to McCoy, I compiled a list of Players of Higher-Risk on Day 3 of the NFL Draft<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the mid-late rounds, the risk\/reward balance starts to shift. A risk you wouldn\u2019t take in an early round may be worth taking in a later round. The contract value is less, and the alternative options (healthy players) are not as compelling.<\/p>\n

Here are players the Lions<\/a> should still be wary of due to their concern levels of 5\/10 or higher on my\u00a0Medical Big Board<\/a>. If the player ceiling is high, the risk may be worth it.<\/p>\n

Mikail Kamara<\/a>, EDGE (24): stinger, knee, bilateral multiple shoulder surgeries, multiple high ankle sprains<\/p>\n

Jalen Hunt<\/a>, DT (25?): knee, foot, possible neck, other unspecified injuries, age<\/p>\n

Devin Moore<\/a>, CB (22): groin surgery, shoulder surgery, severe shoulder injury, concussion, back<\/p>\n

Jermod McCoy<\/a>, CB (21): ACL January 2025. Bone plug to repair knee cartilage damage that may need additional surgery in future.<\/p>\n

Jalen Catalon<\/a>, S (25): multiple shoulder surgeries, knee meniscus, ACL, unspecified leg injury<\/p>\n

Lorenzo Styles<\/a>, S (24): shoulder surgery plus recurrent shoulder issues, age<\/p>\n

Keionte Scott<\/a>, S (25): recent foot\/toe?, high ankle sprain surgery, age<\/p>\n

Louis Moore<\/a>, S (25): ACL, multiple unspecified injuries<\/p>\n

Deion Burks<\/a>, WR (23): neck?, multiple concussions, thigh<\/p>\n
