CHICAGO (AP) \u2014 Munetaka Murakami<\/a> hit his 11th homer of the season and reliever Seranthony Dom\u00ednguez<\/a> struck out two in the ninth inning as the Chicago White Sox<\/a> beat the Washington Nationals<\/a> 5-4 on Friday night.<\/p>\n

The White Sox have won four of their last five games. Munetaka has hit a home run in six of the last seven games and moved into a tie with Houston<\/a>‘s Yordan Alvarez<\/a> for the MLB lead.<\/p>\n

Munetaka’s latest homer was a 415-foot shot to center field in the fourth inning.<\/p>\n

Dom\u00ednguez entered in the ninth and struck out Nasim Nu\u00f1ez, and coaxed Jos\u00e9 Tena into a ground out. With the potential tying run at third base, Nationals leadoff hitter James Wood<\/a> \u2014 who has the fourth-best OPS in the league \u2014 struck out swinging and Dom\u00ednguez earned his sixth save.<\/p>\n

Jordan Leasure<\/a> (2-0) struck out one in one inning and gave up a home run to Brady House<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Nationals scored first on a sacrifice fly by Luis Garc\u00eda Jr.<\/a> in the second, and scored two more runs in the fifth. Reliever Riley Cornelio<\/a> (0-1) pitched two innings, walking four batters. He allowed earned runs and had a strikeout in his MLB debut.<\/p>\n

Colson Montgomery<\/a> and Tristan Peters<\/a> hit RBI singles and Luisangel Acu\u00f1a scored in the seventh as the White Sox took their first lead in the game.<\/p>\n
