In an telling press conference, Craig Bellamy<\/a> has slammed his side and promised there’ll be changes made after another thumping loss against South Sydney<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At half-time the Rabbitohs were leading 24-0 and Bellamy was captured stalking the sheds, checking his notebook and not talking to anyone.<\/p>\n

The dressing shed appeared to be split between the edges and middle with the latter first to get up.<\/p>\n

Those players looked ready to get up before Bellamy ordered them to wait and delivered a sensational serve. The coach then walked out in fury.<\/p>\n

His team-talk had little impact with the Storm losing 48-6 to make it six losses in a row<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Post-match speaking to Fox League, Harry Grant confirmed the coach was “filthy”.<\/p>\n

“I think we were completing at 55 or 60 per cent and they were completing really high and making it difficult for us,” he said.<\/p>\n

“He was upset with our half, and challenged us that we’re the ones out there, go out and do it. Really disappionted we didn’t respond well to that, we created a few opportunities and are just not icing them at the moment and we need to go back to the drawing board and do that.”<\/p>\n

In the press conference, Bellamy didn’t hold back on his team.<\/p>\n

“It does [hurt], probably the most embarrassed I’ve ever been in my footy life to be quite honest,” he said.<\/p>\n

“There’s obviously a few things the off-field staff is doing wrong and I’m included in that so obviously I’m not doing my job as well as I should be … [but] to come up with a performance like that and a lack of effort like that on Anzac Day is embarrassing. I can’t say too much more than that.”<\/p>\n

Bellamy pointed to other losing streaks in his career but doesn’t believe they’ve been as emphatic as these matches. In early April, the Panthers beat them 50-10 while the next match the Warriors won 38-14 in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

“Tonight was a standout from our other losses to be quite honest,” he conceded.<\/p>\n

Bellamy then dropped some harsh reality on his side, flagging changes.<\/p>\n

“I’ve stuck with basically the same side the last six weeks, I think it’s time to make some changes,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We haven’t got a whole heap of depth there with first grade experience but we’ll find a couple of guys that want to go out there and have a go.”<\/p>\n

The coach was also asked if he thinks he has the buy in from his players and responded that it was a “good point, I might not have” before Grant was quick to interject.<\/p>\n

“Yes he does, that’s a silly question, you don’t need to ask him that. He’s a modest guy and probably going to look to himself with these results but at the end of the day no one works harder than Craig. You come into the club every morning and he’s here working.”<\/p>\n
